Choices

My whole life has been blessed. Minor speed bumps aren't real obstacles. However, a major challenge interrupted my life at the age of 23. I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, a deadly cancer which kills 7 of 8 patients.

When I was first diagnosed I had a choice in how to face it, and I chose the strength of sharing with my friends and family.

Now, as a survivor, I have a choice to hide this part of my life --- or to celebrate it. I choose to talk openly about it to create awareness of the disease. My thinking is that if I can reach 1 person to get screen early, it could save their life.

Choices show your priorities. That is why I choose to volunteer with ECAA, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of esophageal cancer.

Will you choose to donate $5 and help raise awareness?

Be well. Do good.
